Effective date: 1 Sep 2025
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the RollStart Platform (the "Service"), provided by RollStart Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16262516) with its registered office in the United Kingdom ("RollStart", "we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Licence to RollStart By posting Content, you grant RollStart a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify (including formatting, cropping, subtitling, and creating excerpts), adapt, distribute, display and perform that Content for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Service and promoting roller skating. This includes allowing RollStart's trusted third-party partners (such as national federations, clubs, event organisers, sponsors, and coaches) to use your Content in their promotional and educational materials (for example on websites, social media, presentations, or training resources), provided such use is consistent with these Terms and does not imply that the partner owns your Content. You retain ownership of your Content. This licence continues for as long as needed to operate the Service and for a reasonable period to allow removal from marketing materials and partner channels. You may request removal of your Content from promotional use by contacting us at help@rollstart.co.uk. We will take reasonable steps to remove it from our promotional channels and will request the same of our partners, within a reasonable timeframe.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. RollStart is not responsible for their content, policies or practices. You should review the terms and policies of any third-party service you use.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RollStart Ltd, its affiliates, officers, employees and contractors against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your Content, or your breach of these Terms.
Challenges and exercise content on the Service are provided for general information and motivation only and are not medical advice. Any physical activity you choose to undertake through the Service is self-directed and undertaken at your own risk. You are responsible for deciding whether a challenge is suitable for you, for exercising within your limits, and for participating safely (including choosing an appropriate environment, warming up, using suitable equipment/footwear, and stopping if you feel unwell, pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath). We strongly recommend that you consult a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise routine, particularly if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are returning to exercise after injury/illness, or have any concerns. Where a parent-managed account is required, a parent/guardian is responsible for supervision and permission. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
If the Service allows you to log challenge activity or submit results for leaderboards, you agree to record your activity honestly and in good faith. You must not submit false, misleading, or manipulated entries. Where we reasonably believe entries are inaccurate or not made in good faith, we may remove or adjust those entries, withhold related rewards (such as coins, badges, trophies, rosettes etc.), disqualify participation in a challenge, and/or suspend or terminate accounts in line with these Terms.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties, express or implied. RollStart does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or meet your expectations.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g. by posting on the Service or emailing you). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we collect, use and protect your personal data.
